Archaeological Museum of Argos

The Archaeological Museum of Argos, after extensive building refurbishment and redisplay works, reopened to the public in June 2026. Since the early 1960s, the Museum has been housed in a building complex that incorporates the historic residence of General Dimitrios Kallergis (1830) along with a more modern wing. The new permanent exhibition, through nine thematic units, brings the history and culture of ancient Argos to life through antiquities spanning from the Neolithic era (6th millennium BC) to late antiquity (6th century AD).
